The NSS sub-committee of Vidyasagar Metropolitan College plays an important role in organizing and managing activities related to the National Service Scheme (NSS). It focuses on promoting student involvement in community service, social awareness, and nation-building activities.
Objective:
To plan, coordinate, and oversee all NSS activities in the college.
To coordinate 7-day special camp in association with adopted urban slums.
To enrol and encourage student participation in social service and outreach programs.
To ensure all programs align with the goals and values of NSS (like unity, discipline, social responsibility, etc.).
To work with local bodies, NGOs, and government departments for collaborative activities.
To prepare documentation and reports for submission to the NSS Cell or University.
