Scholarships Offered by State Government and Central Government:

2.	Aikyashree http://wbmdfc.org/Home/scholarship	The Government of West Bengal has launched the Merit Cum Means scholarship scheme for meritorious minority students, including those from Buddhist, Jain, Christian, Muslim, Parsee, and Sikh communities, who are domiciled in West Bengal and aspire to pursue studies at an institute within the state. 3.	Kanyashree https://www.wbkanyashree.gov.in/kp_4.0/index.php	Kanyashree Prakalpa is a flagship initiative by the Government of West Bengal aimed at empowering adolescent girls through education and other support mechanisms.Kanyashree’s one-time grant of Rs. 25,000/- is for girls who are between the ages of 18 and 19. 4.	OASIS http://oasis.gov.in/	This is from the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Govt. of WB.  Scholarship to the children of those engaged in Unclean Occupation. The beneficiaries of this scheme are the students of whose parents are flayers, tanners, scavengers, waste picking/collecting or engaged in similar other profession. 5.	National Scholarship Portal (NSP) https://scholarships.gov.in/	Different Scholarship Schemes are available from various ministries of Central Government (E.g. Ministry of minority affairs, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment etc.) and departments (Department of Higher Education, Department of Empowerment of Persons with disabilities etc.) of the Central Govt.  Also, different schemes are available from UGC. 1.	West Bengal Student Credit Card https://wbscc.wb.gov.in/	A student from West Bengal can obtain a maximum loan of Rs. 10 lakhs @4% per annum simple interest from the State Cooperative Bank and its affiliated Central Cooperative Banks and District Central Cooperative Banks and Public / Private Sector Banks. 1% interest concession will be provided to borrower if the interest is fully serviced during the study period.

Financial Aid to Students by the College:
The college employs a student-friendly process to offer financial aid to students based on their financial needs, attendance, and academic performance in their most recent university examinations. At the beginningof every semester, students are required to submit their applications. The Student Welfare and Scholarship Subcommittee then holds a meeting to set criteria and select students for financial assistance.The proposed names and amounts for assistance are then presented to the finance committee and governing body for approval. Subsequently, the list of students receiving financial aid and their corresponding amounts is posted on the student notice board.

Prizes:
The College has a number of prizes for its students, such as the popular "STUDENT OF THE YEAR" award for all round excellence demonstrated by a student. Moreover, students scoring the highest marks in the final University Examinations in Arts, Science and Commerce streams are also awarded prizes. Besides that, all students securing 60% marks and above in their final University Examinations also receive a prize.
