Vidyasagar Metropolitan College is invested in its efforts at creating an inclusive environment for the differently abled.
To fulfil its purpose, the institution has a Policy for the differently abled, to create awareness regarding the support to be provided by the college for any student or staff members requiring such assistance. The college also has built ramps at the entrance to the college, as well as to the entrance to the washroom, to create a barrier free environment with easy access to the auditorium, library, computer laboratory, washroom, etc.

Assistive technology and facilities for persons with disabilities (Divyangjan) accessible website, screen-reading software, mechanized equipment
As assistive technology and facilities for persons with disabilities, the college has trained delegated teachers to help students use ChromeVox, as screen reading software and ChromeVis to enlarge the text to assist in making websites more accessible. In addition we also help students access NVDA, to be able to study from websites more easily.

Provision for enquiry and information : Human assistance, reader, scribe, soft copies of reading material, screen reading
Vidyasagar Metropolitan College has allotted the duty of assisting persons with disability to non-teaching staff member Sri Rajiv Singh, who also provides information at the enquiry desk, and helps students with screen reading through the use of NVDA software.
Teachers have been instructed to provide all kinds of assistance in the teaching learning process to students with disability, by providing soft copies of all reading materials, which can then be read using assistive technologies mentioned under point no. 2 above. The college has also, under its policy for the disabled, undertaken to allot a scribe, if required by any person with disability for completing their course.
