The exam committee is the nerve centre of the academic axis of Vidyasagar Metropolitan College. The committee aims to determine to what extent that a student understood the objective of the knowledge,skills and insights impacted by a teacher or mentor. It further creates a basis for promotion to a higher grade or level. It aims to confirm the acquisition of knowledge and skill which serve as the praxis of the semester system. The subcommitteeensures that the mechanism of internal assessment is transparent and robust in terms of frequency and mode. Further, the mechanism to deal with internal examination related grievances is transparent, time- bound and efficient. The exam subcommittee also conducts the theory exams with expertise and efficiency, as per the norms of the University of Calcutta.
Objective:
To supervise and conduct Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE).
To supervise and conduct internal, tutorial, practical and theory examination
To ensure that the mechanism of internal assessment is transparent and robust in terms of frequency and mode.
To deal with internal, tutorial, practical and theory examination related grievances is transparent, time- bound and efficient.
To organise regular meetings (beyond class hours) to deliberate and decide on aforementioned issues.
To maintain a minute book.
To organise seminars, workshops and activities.
To maintain a website and upload minutes, notifications and geotagged photos of seminars, workshops and activities.
