Mentorship Program at Vidyasagar Metropolitan College

Vidyasagar Metropolitan College has introduced a comprehensive Student Mentoring System designed to provide personalized support and guidance to its students. All faculty members are providing mentorship to a set of students (mentees) allotted to each of them.

Objectives:
The primary aim of the Mentorship Program at Vidyasagar Metropolitan College is to facilitate a structured and supportive system for the students. The main objectives include:

• Academic and Personal Support: Providing academic guidance and personal support to mentees, helping them navigate their educational journey more effectively.
• Mentorship: Assigning experienced mentors to guide and mentor students, offering insights and advice based on their own experiences.
• Holistic Development: Fostering the holistic development of students by addressing their academic, personal, and professional needs.
• Goal Setting: Assisting students in setting and achieving their academic and career goals.
• Problem Solving: Addressing any challenges or issues that students may face during their academic journey and providing solutions or referrals to appropriate resources.
• Emotional Support: Offering emotional support and a safe space for mentees to discuss their concerns, anxieties, and aspirations.

Mentorship Process:
Students are encouraged to regularly interact with their assigned mentors. This interaction will ensure that students receive the necessary support and guidance throughout their academic journey. By fostering a strong mentor-mentee relationship, the college aims to create a nurturing environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential.
