Admission Procedure & Rules :

- Admission forms can be filled from the link available in the College website or at www.vidyasagareveningadmissions.com or at www.collegeadmission.in from 01.06.2012 to 19.06.2012 and the candidate after filling the required fields should take print out of the Application Fee 'Deposit Slip'.
- Subject Combinations available along with code of different subjects can be obtained in the subject combination page of the college web site.
- A Processing Fee of Rs.100/- to be deposited against the 'Deposit Slip' at SBI, College Street Market (North) Branch within the stipulated period of time mentioned in that slip. Any fee deposited after that time will make cancellation of the application. However in any other branch of SBI having core banking facility the Fee may be deposited with additional bank charge of Rs.25/- i.e. total processing Fees will be Rs.125/- in such case.
- Among the three portions of the 'Deposit Slip' the applicant will retain the 'student's copy and the 'college copy' has to be submitted at the time of counseling and verification.
- Once the applicant has paid the Processing Fee against the Deposit Slip he must Go back to the Online Admission Site and Confirm Payment to take Print of his Application Form. To Confirm payment the Applicant must enter his Application Form No., Date of Birth, Details of the SBI branch where he has deposited his processing fee along with the date of submission of processing fee. The applicant should take a print out of the Application Form after submission of processing Fee at Bank.
- Separate admission forms have to be filled up for consideration in the merit list for different subjects. One candidate can apply only once in one subject.
- Provisional merit list will be published in the website and in college notice board on 25.06.2012 without any thorough scrutiny and verification of the admission forms. Students will be admitted from the listed candidates on merit basis. Any wrong inclusion or exclusion in the merit list due to any incorrect information is liable to cancellation of the application form.
- For admission in General Courses student may take direct admission. If the candidate satisfies the requisite criteria, he/she should take the print out of the application form and come to the college with that form and relevant documents for taking verification and direct admission from 08.06.2012 up to 23.06.2012 till availability of seats. If seats remain vacant then admission may be taken from respective merit list.
- Detail program for counseling/verification /admission will be published along with the merit list.
- At the time of verification the applicant should bring the print out of the application form. It should be signed by the candidate and his/her legal guardian at the space provided in the form. Passport size photo should be pasted at proper space. The applicant should bring the required documents listed in the 'documents required' page of the college website. Original Mark sheet must not be laminated.
- Scrutiny and verification of the admission forms will be made at the time issuing admit order.
- After verification of documents 'Admitted' stamp will be given on the back of the original marks sheet and Admission Fee Deposit Slip will be issued.
- Admission Form No, Name, Subject/Stream, Year must be clearly written on the fee deposit slip. Fees in cash have to be deposited in the S.B.I. College Street Market (North) branch within banking hour on the very next working day (after issue of admit order) of the bank. No fee will be refunded if a student wants to cancel 'Admitted' stamp/admission.
- Scrutiny and verification of forms for admission will continue from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on working days.
- Students from the Boards other than W.B.C.H.S.E., I.S.C., C.B.S.E. are required to produce authentic level certificate from the respective Boards at the time of verification.
- All admissions are provisional and may be cancelled if any false information is detected at any time in future.
- Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC and PH are applicable in all courses as per C.U. norms.
ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE COURSES
- Student must have passed in the Year 2009 /2010 / 2011 /2012.
- One candidate can apply only once in one subject.
- Best of four should be considered excluding Environmental Science (unless it was an elective paper with 100 marks) and the Candidate must have passed at least FIVE (5) Subjects of 100 marks each including English and excluding ENVS / EED / ES.
- Availability of subject combination for Arts stream will be provided on first-come-first-serve basis.

- For HS council, 40% marks in aggregate AND 30% marks in the concerned subject;
OR 30% marks in aggregate AND 40% marks in the concerned subject. For other boards, 40% marks in aggregate AND 40% marks in the concerned subject.
- Best of four should be considered excluding Environmental Science (unless it was an elective paper with 100 marks) and the Candidate must have passed at least FIVE (5) Subjects of 100 marks each including English and excluding ENVS / EED / ES.

DIRECT ADMISSION IN GENERAL COURSES
*Aggregate will be counted on the basis of marks obtained in BEST Four subjects of last Board exam.
